Terms of Service
Last updated: March 4, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Postlyr ("the Service"), operated at postlyr.io and https://app.postlyr.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Description of Service
Postlyr is a social media thread composer and publishing tool that allows you to:
- Write and compose multi-post threads in a single editor.
- Publish content simultaneously to multiple social media platforms (X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Threads, Mastodon, and Bluesky).
- Schedule content for future publication.
- View unified analytics from connected platforms.
3. Account Registration
To use Postlyr, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration.
- Keep your account credentials secure and confidential.
- Be responsible for all activity under your account.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
4. Connected Social Accounts
By connecting your social media accounts to Postlyr, you:
- Authorize Postlyr to access, post content to, and retrieve public analytics from those accounts on your behalf.
- Confirm that you have the authority to connect and grant these permissions for each account.
- Acknowledge that your use of connected platforms is also subject to their respective terms of service and community guidelines.
- Can disconnect any account at any time, which revokes Postlyr's access and deletes the associated credentials from our database.
Postlyr is not responsible for any actions taken on connected platforms as a result of content you choose to publish.
5. User Content
You retain full ownership of all content you create, compose, and publish through Postlyr ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant Postlyr a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and transmit your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service (i.e., publishing to your connected accounts and displaying previews within the application).
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Publish content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
- Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
- Distribute spam, phishing, or malicious content.
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent security features of the Service.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service beyond normal usage.
- Violate the terms of service or community guidelines of any connected social media platform.
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. Service Plans and Payment
Postlyr offers free and paid plans. Paid plans are billed on a monthly or yearly basis as selected at the time of subscription. By subscribing to a paid plan:
- You authorize us to charge the applicable fees to your chosen payment method.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are provided for unused time.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Price changes will apply at the start of your next billing period.
7. Scheduling and Publishing
Postlyr provides scheduling functionality that allows you to queue content for future publication. While we endeavor to publish scheduled content at the specified time:
- We do not guarantee exact timing of scheduled publications due to factors including but not limited to platform API rate limits, outages, token expiration, and server availability.
- Publishing may fail if your connected account tokens have expired or been revoked by the platform.
- You are responsible for reviewing the content of scheduled posts before and after publication.
8. Intellectual Property
The Postlyr name, logo, website design, and application interface are the property of Postlyr. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
All trademarks, service marks, and logos of third-party platforms (X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Meta Threads, Mastodon, Bluesky) are the property of their respective owners.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Postlyr disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Postlyr shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from:
- Your use or inability to use the Service.
- Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.
- Failures, delays, or errors in publishing content to third-party platforms.
- Actions taken by third-party platforms (e.g., account suspension, content removal) as a result of content published through Postlyr.
- Any interruption or cessation of the Service.
Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Postlyr, its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service.
- Content you publish through the Service.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any third-party rights or applicable laws.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@postlyr.io. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Third-Party Platforms
Postlyr integrates with third-party social media platforms. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for these platforms. Your use of connected platforms through Postlyr is subject to those platforms' own terms of service, community guidelines, and privacy policies.
We do not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or continued functionality of any third-party platform integration. Platform API changes may affect the Service.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if unresolved, through binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
